Terrible tattoos. Seriously, why?

I am seriously considering get a tattoo -- a lyric tattoo if I can ever decide on a lyric -- within the next year or so (depends on if I can decide and not be a weenie). In trying to find some tattoo inspiration, I've been looking up other lyric tattoos that other people have gotten. I've face palmed a whole bunch over many of these.

So here I present, terrible tattoos. seriously... why would you do this?

My first question: what happened at this concert that made you literally TATTOO YOUR TICKET on your arm?

My second question: what did your tattoo artist say when you told them your idea? Poor person better have gotten a good tip.

My thoughts on this:
1. Is that even real?
2. Why?
3. Before you know it, this will be Travis Barker's face.

I see what you're trying to do there, but comment has two m's.

Armpit shark? This girl had the potential to be cute, but ehhh.

I find tattoos with celebrity's faces on them to be creepy as it is, but this is just an abortion.

It's Creed. That's all that has to be said here.

A Staind roll of toilet paper? Blah.

So do you agree that these are all terrible? I know that we are all free to do what we wish with our bodies, but sometimes I just don't understand people.

  1. Whoa. Some of those are totally craptastic... I'm not even sure what to say about people's poor taste.

    1. I know! I just shake my head... and then share with the world!

  2. Yikes. These are very scary. :( I considered getting a tattoo my freshman year of college and really did think about it for a long time. I started losing interest and eventually made the conscious decision that I'd never get one. I decided I couldn't imagine liking the same design 50 years from now. That said, there are some pretty gorgeous and truly artistic tattoos out there, and I think it's a pretty darn cool form of art--when it's nothing like the above examples. :)

    1. Yeah, the "will I regret this later?" question pops into my head a lot. Therefore, I am tattooless and left to question the actions of others.

  3. The guy that tattooed the girl with stars on her face got charged with assault because she was underage. Tattoo pain all depends on placement. I am heavily tattooed so you ever have any weird questions just ask

    1. Oh gosh. I thought she looked young!

And I might have to take you up on the weird questions sometime! :p

    2. The girl with the tattoos claims that she asked for one star and he tattooed her face full. Don't know anything about charges for her being underage. I guess "it was his fault my face is ugly and now my daddy is mad" didn't stick in court so they had to change it for "assaulting underage".

  4. Haha! Hilarious! I'm shaking my head at people... Why?

  5. Hi! I saw your post on 20sb and thought Id check you out! :) I agree, all those are terrible lol - especially the shark one! I dont have any tattoos yet, but have been wanting one for some time as well. Probably something small - I was thinking maybe just a treble clef or something... something a friend has that you might be interested in, is instead of the lyrics themselves, he has a small portion of the sheet music for his favourite part on his arm. Its beautiful. :)Good luck choosing a tattoo! I have followed you and will be back to see :)

  6. Those. Are. Ridiculous. There are so many people I see with tattoos that I know they regret, and if they don't, they should. While I get we all have the right to do whatever we want with our bodies, I'm sorry...I will totally judge you if you have a UPC code tattooed on your forehead.

As for me, I've deleted enough tweets and status updates to know I should never get a tattoo. Stopping in from Not Mommy Bloggers!

  7. OMG These are great! Thanks for the laugh!! One of my Silly Saturda posts is a neck tattoo a woman and done of a compus and it went clockwise, N S W E, ummm ya, not so much...Makes you wonder what the Tattoo artist was thinking. Stopping over and now a new follower from the We're Not Mommies blog hop. Have a great weekend!

  8. OMG these are so bad. My favorite has to be the ticket one. He must've had a reaaalllyy good experience at that concert that he has to remember it forever. And the face tattoo with the stars...I don't get why people do that! Your face is one tattoo that you absolutely cannot cover up, unless you wear a ski mask for the rest of your life.

Found you from the We're Not Mommy Blogs blog hop and so happy that I did! Your blog is so funny. Come check me out at Thanks :)

  9. LMFAO! "It's Creed. That's all that has to be said."

You're right. It's not even that you have a sprawling tattoo of Creed lyrics, but that you are a big enough Creed fan to think that was a good idea.

    I vote sterilization.
